Aromatherapy Use Natural Oils For Complete Relaxation

Aromatherapy in a general term is use of essential oils in order to bring better health. Aromatherapy can be as simple as adding a few drops of oil to your pillow to help sleep, or blend of specific oils for medicinal purposes. Whichever way you use them, the therapeutic use of essential oils are truly amazing.
How it works?

Actually, each essential oil has a specific property similar to herbal medicine, including anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and antiseptic, among others. Not to be confused with fragrant oils, essential oils extracted from plants and herbs and have demonstrated therapeutic effects. Aromatic molecules from essential oils are really quite small.

These oil molecules easily penetrate  into the deep layers of the skin and as you know they are soluble in fat  so they can easily ooze beyond our skin cells and enter the bloodstream, which is where the curative properties of its work. Disperse through the blood is what allows the antibacterial / antiseptic / antifungal elements to reach wherever required.

Essential oils also enter the body through inhalation. If you cannot smell or inhalation of essential oils creates a message that is sent directly to the brain and can affect hormones and other emotional stimuli. A certain amount will also get through the lining of the nose where they can enter the lungs having a positive effect on your breathing and other respiratory problems like asthma and bronchitis. Thus, essential oils, no matter how you use them have huge medical benefits.
Aromatherapy helps to reduce symptoms of stress

Do you know that aromatherapy helps to reduce symptoms of stress?  Have you ever visited any Aromatherapy centres to get relax and to have a massage from professional hands?

The combination of essential oils is one of the options for relaxing. The oils have the power to activate memories and make people feel at certain times of the past, the smell can affect other areas related to feelings. Therefore, aromatherapy, which uses active ingredients from medicinal plants herbs to balance the body and mind, is an alternative treatment for those who show signs of stress. The method promises to alleviate symptoms such as anxiety, irritability, tachycardia, depression, decreased libido, difficulty concentrating, and disturbances in appetite.

A University of São Paulo (USP) evaluated the effectiveness of aromatherapy in reducing levels of stress. The study was conducted with 36 students attending courses in health among 18 to 29 years.  Out of all these in total 18 received treatments, conducted in seven sessions of ten minutes of inhalation of a mixture of essential oils, and 18 were not. In the first group had 24% reduction in the stress level and 19% in anxiety. In the second, was only reduced the level of stress (11%).

A renowned psychologist explains that the technique works because the nose is a kind of gateway to the brain. When you feel a scent, nose sends information to the olfactory bulb, which transmits to the limbic system, responsible for emotions and behaviours. Once you reach the place, the smell begins to act. This usually occurs in less than three seconds. “This is why aromatherapy brings immediate response to the related organs.

Aromatherapy uses essential oils, vegetable oils and synthetic essences. The essential flavors are drawn from nature spirits who act therapeutically because they play a role in olfactory memory of the patient. The plants are used to dilute the essential need to be smoothed. Since the synthetic essences, which mimic the natural ones, can cause welfare, but not used as a treatment. “When you inhale certain essence, one can even see immediate results, but not long term,” explained the expert.

These oils can be applied in various ways such as inhalation, massage , and compress. Regardless of whether the liquids are placed in scarves and inhaled, included in the formula of soaps, used in massage or splashed on the environment. One of the only restrictions is on the direct application to the skin.
